Commercial auction service

Auction House Commercial operates as a specialist service offered through a network of 40 auction rooms across England, Scotland and Wales. In 2012 Auction House become the UK's No.1 Residential Auctioneer (based on lots sold) - it operates more auction rooms and holds more auctions than any other auctioneer. Auction House is also the country's second largest Commercial Auctioneer selling an increasing number of commercial, industrial, mixed use, land and investment properties through its network of regional auction rooms.

More and more sellers are turning to the auction route and deliberately choosing to sell their properties through professionally run, regionally based auction rooms. Properties sell for more money when auctioned closer to home, and the Auction House policy of selling local property to local, regional and national buyers through regional auction rooms is delivering impressive results. The benefits of speed, certainty and proactive marketing offered by auction are proving very attractive compared to the passive service that is typical of commercial agency.

If you are considering the possibility of selling by auction then contact us or complete an enquiry form and we will call you back when convenient.

Professional Advice

We have auctioneers and Auction House valuers available to give you initial telephone advice. Where required we will visit and inspect your property, then guide you on the best method of sale. If it is sale by auction we will give guide price recommendations and talk you through the process.

Instructions to Sell

We will confirm our terms of appointment, make contact with your solicitor, gather together the necessary paperwork, liaise with others to get searches, planning permissions, specialist reports, an EPC, leases and get special conditions of sale prepared for your property. We will work with you and your solicitor to get the legal pack prepared as quickly as possible, and make this available online to all interested parties.

Effective Marketing

We will prepare property details for your catalogue and online marketing, gain your approval to these, then advertise your property extensively in local papers, through property portals, our own website and proactively email it to our database of local, regional and national buyers. We will usually host open days at the property and report back to you on interest and activity.

Auction Day Arrangements

We will assist you in setting the right reserve based on the likely bid levels and taking note of any pre-auction offers. Unless sold prior your property will be offered in the room and hopefully after competitive bidding sold on the fall of the hammer with contracts being effectively exchanged at that point. Sale documentation will be signed in the room and a 10% deposit paid. Your solicitors will handle the process thereafter as described in the special conditions of sale.

Selling in region makes sense, and Auction House are the Regional Experts with a proven track record of success.
