Après-ski auction raises over £35,000 for charity

23.01.2026

A charity auction hosted by Auction House in partnership with PropSki provides valuable funds for The Elifar Foundation and Protect Our Winters.

Among the many events organised by PropSki for their 2026 property networking event, the charity auction co-hosted by Auction House proved to be one of the highlights for both the organisers and attendees.

After a busy day networking on the slopes of ski resort Val Thorens, the crowd of 650 delegates was generously keen to snap up a tempting array of auction lots. These included a prestigious golf day at Royal Wimbledon, tickets to attend Six Nations matches, and a chef’s table fine-dining experience at Corrigan’s in Mayfair, the latter of which was donated by Auction House.

This eagerness to bid was expertly fanned into a flame by the professional showmanship of Auction House London’s Andrew Binstock, who extracted every last bid to ensure each lot achieved the best possible result.

Thanks to the generosity of the attendants and lively bidding, the charity auction finally closed on a fundraising total of £35,652, vastly exceeding efforts from the previous year to make it PropSki’s most successful fundraiser to date.

Lots for a good cause

The money will be split between charities The Elifar Foundation and Protect Our Winters (POW).

The Elifar Foundation is a small charity dedicated to improving the lives of children and young adults with severe learning difficulties and associated physical disabilities. The charity’s support includes the provision of grants for electric wheelchairs, hoists and eating aids, among other equipment.

POW is focused on the protection of our environment. By rallying outdoor enthusiasts, they focus on influencing climate policy and advocating for change, as well as educating the community and collaborating with other key coalitions.

Commenting on the auction, Auctioneer Andrew Binstock said: “It was a fantastic honour to lead the auction at this year’s event in support of two worthy causes. There was a great atmosphere in the room, and the bids came in thick and fast. The generosity on display was incredible, and to see such a fantastic total raised was a real highlight.”

“We were thrilled to once again partner with PropSki to host their charity auction,” added Sarah Cherry, Director of Auction House. “We love to put our auction expertise to good use and to drum up as much excitement as possible for charities that do such valuable work. The fundraising total of this year’s event has beaten all our expectations, and we’re so glad that both The Elifar Foundation and POW will get to enjoy the results.”
